The Greenwich Conservatives family is made up of the Federation (our local Party organisation) the Conservative Group on Greenwich Council and our network of members, activists and supporters.
The Greenwich Conservative Federation is a modern forward-looking group of like-minded people from all walks of life with a common belief that Conservatives are the right people to run our country.
The Federation came into being in March 2003, when the existing Conservative Associations of the two parliamentary constituencies within the Borough of Greenwich joined forces. We currently cover the following Westminster seats:
- Greenwich & Woolwich
The Federation has an elected Management Committee, which looks after the administration of functions such as Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Selection, campaigning and social events. The Executive Council is made up from the Management Committee, the Branch Officers, local councillors and other representatives.
Our Branches have local committees and cover areas corresponding to the electoral wards or adjacent wards. The branches look after local co-ordination of the membership, organising events and local campaigning and are the principle means of communication within the Association.
If you live in Thamesmead Moorings, Plumstead or Abbey Wood wards then you are covered by the Erith & Thamesmead constituency. To keep up to date with the work of the Erith and Thamesmead Conservative Association(link is external) please visit their website by clicking here(link is external).
Councillor Roger Tester has served as the Chairman of the Federation since March 2017.
