Local Conservatives have criticised Royal Bank of Scotland/NatWest after learning that the Blackheath and Westcombe Park NatWest branch at the Standard is still set to close, despite a petition signed by more than 220 people calling for a change of course.
Greenwich Conservatives held all 9 of the party's seats on Greenwich Council in the local elections on 3rd May. The results, announced after a lengthy overnight Count at the Waterfront Leisure Centre in Woolwich, represent a suprise defeat for the Labour Party which had aimed to win all 51 seats
