Transport situation gets worse

Poor local transport services continue to hinder Kidbrooke commuters. The 89 bus service is still presenting problems to those wishing to travel to and from Blackheath and the 486 seems to take forever on its journey to North Greenwich, often more than 30 minutes.

Local Kidbrooke campaigner Frank Salmon commented, “The lack of a station often means a walk of over 20 minutes, so local people rely on good local bus services for tube and rail. The poor reliability of the 89 and the slowness of the 486 mean that journey times are taking longer and longer, adding to the frustration of commuters who are simply trying to get to work.”
