Action on the Olympics

In October, Conservative GLA member Gareth Bacon published the results of his survey of local residents about the Olympic Games in Greenwich Park. Gareth had sent letters to all local residents and received 1,267 replies (10.6%). The key conclusions of the survey were that the majority of respondents opposed the Games in the park (68%) and that even more (78%) had never been invited to any public meeting about this. Gareth presented the research to the body in charge of the games with a recommendation that a full consultation is carried out during the planning process.
