Conservatives: tough on crime

Eltham Parliamentary Spokesman David Gold has invited a number of senior Conservatives to visit our area. One of the latest was Shadow Home Secretary Chris Grayling MP who spoke at a public meeting at St Mary’s Community Centre. Chris promised to crack down on criminals who bring misery to local people. He pledged to end the ‘caution culture’ that lets off so many offenders; people sent to prison would serve their full sentence; he would put more police on the beat; and he would make illegal immigration a top priority if the Conservatives win the next election. Other leading Conservatives to visit Eltham area include the Shadow Home Office Minister, James Brokenshire MP, who visited Shooters Hill to hear residents’ concerns about crime and Shadow Spokesman for Europe Mark Francois MP who spoke with residents at St Luke’s Church Hall at the end of October.
