Width Restriction Petition to be heard by Council leadership

On Tuesday (8th January) the Cabinet Committee will consider a response to the petition requesting a width restriction on Glenlea Road presented by Eltham North Councillor Spencer Drury at the October Council meeting.

The petition was signed by sixty residents of Archery Road and asked for a width restriction to be installed at the end of Glenlea Road to prevent lorries and coaches travelling up the narrow residential road.

The response recommends that the Council leadership undertake a further traffic survey along Glenlea and Archery Roads to find out how many lorries and coaches actually use the roads.  The results would then be reported to Councillors who could consider what other action to take.

The meeting starts at 5.30pm at the Town Hall in Woolwich and is open to the public.
