Labour to close Community Law Centre

Last month, Labour decided to close the Plumstead Community Law Centre, stating that services will be offered from Woolwich instead.  Labour has already closed neighbourhood offices but has no intention of offering any replacements in the east of the borough.

Greenwich, Woolwich and Eltham will all have their own council centres, local Conservatives are asking "what about Plumstead?"

Plumstead Conservatives' Toks Bailey said, "Labour sees Plumstead as a part of Woolwich and refuses to focus on it. I would campaign to employ a Plumstead Town Centre manager (as they have in Greenwich, Woolwich and Eltham) who would focus on improving the area by working with local businesses and bringing in new investment".
