Search is on for Iconic views of the Borough

You may have noticed the banner of this site has changed from a montage of various famous sites from around the Borough of Greenwich.  We had pictured the Dome, the Royal Observatory, Charlton Athletic Football Club, Greenwich Millennium Village and Severndroog Castle for the past year or so.

The current banner depicts a scene from Greenwich Park, and we would like to change this on a regular basis to show some of the iconic features of our Borough.  Let us know what you would like to see featured, or better still send in your own photographs that we can use as the gateway to the website.

We have some beautiful architecture - the World Heritage Site at the Royal Naval College or the Artillery Barracks in Woolwich perhaps;  there are fantastic open spaces such as at Maryon Park in Charlton and Plumstead Common;  Maybe a river scene - the Thames Flood Barrier or the Greenwich Peninsula;  Or the historical Eltham Palace, the soon to be demolished Ferrier Estate, the views from Shooters Hill or the bustle of Eltham High Street.

Email  your thoughts or submissions and let's show the world what a fantastic place this is to live.
