Angie Bray elected new leader of London's Conservatives

Angie Bray AM has been elected today as the new leader of the London Assembly Conservatives, after Bob Neill stood down to take up his seat in the House of Commons as Member of Parliament for Bromley and Chislehurst.

Cllr Chris Taylor (pictured right), speaking on behalf of Greenwich Conservatives said, "We welcome the election of Angie as the new Leader on the Assembly. I know Angie well, and I'm sure she will successfully lead the battle against Livingstone in London.  Over the coming year, Greenwich Conservatives will do all we can to support Angie and the other Assembly members in promoting the interests of the borough, and London as a whole".

Angie's election coincides with the Conservatives taking control of the leadership of the Association of London Government.  Greenwich Conservatives will play a vital role on defending residents interests with their pan London Colleagues, across a range of issues including the Olympic precept, policing and transport.
