Speeding on Westcombe Hill

Residents of Westcombe Hill and Siebert Road have organised a petition asking Greenwich Council to take action to ensure that the 20mph speed limit is enforced.  Traffic speed is estimated to be significantly higher, especially in the morning and evening rush hours, raising concerns about safety for families with young children on their way to and from Invicta School and the Standard shops.  Many commuters also cross Westcombe Hill to reach Westcombe Park Station.

The petition was presented to Council on behalf of residents by Blackheath Westcombe Councillor Geoff Brighty at the end of July and Council Officers should report back by the autumn.
