Thomas Turrell attends Shop Open Day on Royal Standard

Thomas Turrell, one of the Conservative 2014 Council Candidates for Blackheath Westcombe attended the open day of the newly refurbished Coton & Hamblin opticians on the Blackheath Royal Standard. Thomas is also a resident representative on the Royal Standard Business & Traders Association which seeks to help local shops on the standard.

Thomas said “The new refurbished shop is a great addition to the Blackheath Royal Standard, it was great to see a local business so passionate about the area it is based and so keen to promote the Royal Standard. It was also great to see the relationship and respect between the customers and the staff, it just goes to show that great customer service goes a long way. I have always found local shops provide the best service and it’s just another reason why we need to do more to protect our local shops!”.

Recently local ward Councillor Geoff Brighty helped secure a rent freeze for the local shops on the Royal Standard.
