Coldharbour & New Eltham ward councillors launch new website for residents

Coldharbour, Mottingham and New Eltham Conservatives have launched a new ward website and Twitter feed to provide two more ways to keep in touch with residents' views.

The new ward website - www.CHNEwardteam.com - has been set up by Cllr John Hills, Cllr Mandy Brinkhurst and 2014 candidate Matt Hartley as a way of keeping residents informed about their work in the ward.  The website features news and updates on local issues, photos, information about the team and new ways for residents to ask questions and get in touch.

Cllr John Hills, Chairman of Coldharbour, Mottingham & New Eltham Conservatives and President of the Greenwich Conservative Federation, said: "We work hard all year round to keep in touch - through residents meetings, our regular surgeries, knocking on doors and delivering our in Touch community newsletter.  What our new website will do is provide one more method for people to contact us and find out what we are doing on their behalf."

Cllr Mandy Brinkhurst added: "We all lead busy lives and many residents are used to getting information quickly from the web - so we thought it was important to respond to that demand.  We work hard for all residents - whether they prefer to receive information from us in person, by phone, through their letterbox or communicate online.  Our new ward website will help us cater for everybody."

The team have also recently started tweeting @CHNEwardTeam to provide another way of keeping residents up to date.

Newly selected candidate Matt Hartley helped set up the website and Twitter feed, which the team will be updating alongside the news section of greenwichconservatives.com.  Matt said: "It's great to see many local businesses and community groups using Twitter and other online platforms to keep up with new technology as it develops.  John, Mandy and I are looking forward to using our new online tools to engage with these organisations and with local residents to keep them up to date with our work in the ward."
