Shooters' Hill by-election - result

A good performance in yesterday's Shooters' Hill by-election saw the Conservative Candidate, Nigel Fletcher, cut Labour's majority in the seat from 948 to 379.  The Labour share of the vote fell from 55% in 2002 to just 43% in an area they consider to be safe territory. The swing from Labour to Conservative was 7%
