Conservatives question dangerous Tescos petrol queue

At the January Council meeting, Conservative Council Group Leader Spencer Drury questioned the Labour Cabinet member about the queue at the Tesco Petrol Station, which now regularly stretches out onto the roundabout, causing cars to swerve dangerously.

In reply the Labour Cabinet member suggested that the whole problem was for Transport for London (TfL) to deal with and the Council had done nothing but contact them.

In response, Spencer said: “A number of residents have raised concerns about the dangerous way the queue now snakes back onto the roundabout.  It simply isn’t good enough for the Council to wash its hands on this issue and I will be actively pursuing them to ensure that they do not ignore this potentially dangerous problem.”
