Olympic road closures for Greenwich announced

The organisers of the London Olympics have made public the expected sets of road closure across the capital for each day of the games. 

The proposed road closures for each day from 25th July to the 14th August (for the Olympics) and from 27th August to the 11th September (for the Paralympics) can be found here.

Residents may also be aware that the Olympic Torch will be visiting the Borough on 21st July when it begins its journey through the capital from the Prime Meridian Line in Greenwich.

Starting on the Meridian Line in Greenwich Park at 7.20am, Torchbearers will carry the Torch through Greenwich Park, Greenwich Town Centre, East Greenwich and Eltham Town Centre before ending the route in Woolwich Town Centre at 9.50am.  More details of the exact route can be found at http://www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/olympictorch, which is also shown below.  The progress of the Olympic Torch through Greenwich will also involve road closures.
