Residents petition re traffic in Woodcroft – Coldharbour Estate

Earlier this year the residents of Woodcroft road on Coldharbour Estate presented Cllr Mandy Brinkhurst with a petition voicing their concerns about the increase and speed of traffic along their road.  Woodcroft consists of mainly 3 and 4 bedroom houses and has a high number of families with young children and over the last couple of years there have been a number of near misses with children and speeding vehicles.

Cllr Mandy Brinkhurst presented the petition at Full Council in June, requesting the Council, on behalf of the residents of Woodcroft, to investigate the need for traffic calming measures.

Cllr Brinkhurst stated, ‘I am currently awaiting a response from officers, but I take the residents’ concerns very seriously, in the interim I have liaised with Sgt Chris Hayward from our Safer Neighbourhood Team, and he is arranging for the Traffic police to attend during September to monitor the situation, as soon as I receive the results I will feed back to residents’.
