Boris Johnson’s promise to protect and extend the Freedom Pass will benefit over 43,000 people in Greenwich, official figures reveal.

·         Boris Johnson has promised, if re-elected, to protect and extend the Freedom Pass to Londoners aged 60 years or older.  Across London, the amount of people who would benefit from Boris Johnson’s pledge to protect and extend the Freedom Pass is 1,457,251.

Councilllors on the Children and Young People's Scrutiny Panel left the Town Hall last week to hold a meeting at the newly completed Crown Woods College, built under the last Government's Building Schools for Future programme.

The Mayor Boris Johnson has announced in final budget papers today, the first ever cut in the City Hall share of the council tax (GLA precept). This follows a three year freeze of the precept.
