Earlier this year the residents of Woodcroft road on Coldharbour Estate presented Cllr Mandy Brinkhurst with a petition voicing their concerns about the increase and speed of traffic along their road.  Woodcroft consists of mainly 3 and 4 bedroom houses and has a high number of families with young children and over the last couple of years there have been a number of near misses with children and speeding vehicles.

Eltham South councillors are urging local residents to get their responses in to the Avery Hill CPZ consultation by 20 August. 

However Cllr Adam Thomas raised concerns with officers after the delay in the delivery of consultation letters to some the residents affected.  The council has now said it will extend the timescales for consultation, as councillors felt that residents should be given longer to consider their responses.

During July Mayo’s Cafe, Court Road, applied for variation of conditions to their planning to enable them to remain open from 8am to 11pm daily.  Cllr Mandy Brinkhurst contacted the planning department when she discovered that none of the residents opposite the site or in Crossmead had been contacted on this issue and she was able to extend the consultation period to ensure that all residents had the opportunity to be consulted.

This week Waldon Telecom, on behalf of Telefonica O2, have submitted their planning application for a 12.5 metre phone mast and cabinet on the corner of Court Road and Middle Park Avenue.  The application is now undergoing a public consultation.
