Cleaning up our streets

Local Conservative David Brinson writes: “Since I started campaigning to be a councillor, I have met numerous residents who share many of the same concerns. The state of their streets is probably one of the most talked about issues, with many people citing dog fouling, graffiti and littering as being especially big concerns. They see it as a respect issue with too many people taking no pride at all in their local area.

Whilst going about my business within the ward I have seen countless examples of dog mess in the middle of the pavement. I am a dog owner myself, and although it is no fun picking up after Troy (my greyhound), it must be done! If I were elected, one of my primary goals would be to improve the state of local streets. I want people to be proud of where they live and parents not to worry about what their children will be stepping in.”
