Website has 100,000th visitor

Tuesday saw the 100,000th unique daily visitor to greenwichconservatives.com  Our logs tell us that the landmark was achieved at 2.50pm by someone accessing from the servers of Associated Newspapers.

greenwichconservatives.com launched at the end of January 2004, and the first news story carried was the selection of Spencer Drury as Eltham's parliamentary candidate.  In a strange quirk of coincidence Tuesday's lead news story was the selection of David Gold as Eltham's current parliamentary candidate.

We are now averaging over 300 unique users per day and almost 2,000 hits.  That's more hits in one day than the Eltham Labour Party managed in the whole time their website existed before they pulled the plug on it last month.

And it's not surprising:  in the last two and a half years we have had 285 news stories - in the same period Greenwich Liberal Democrats have managed 65 - and this site now has nearly 500 pages of content, compared to Greenwich Green Party which has fewer than 10.

Thank you for making us the premier political party website in South East London.
