You Decide: Greenwich residents invited to choose Conservative London Mayor Candidate

Voters in Greenwich are invited to vote in the Conservatives open primary to select the party’s Mayoral candidate regardless of whether they are Conservative supporters or not. Anyone wishing to take part in the process must pay a £1 registration fee and be on the electoral role in Greenwich. Current Mayor of London Boris Johnson, who was chosen by the public to be the Conservative candidate in 2007, has announced he is to stand down at the election in May 2016.

There are four Conservative Candidates campaigning to be the parties Mayoral candidate:

Andrew Boff: Leader of the Conservative Group on the London Assembly and former Leader of Hillingdon Council

Zac Goldsmith: Conservative MP for Richmond Park & North Kingston and active campaigner against a third runway at Heathrow and for the powers to recall bad MP’s.

Stephen Greenhalgh: Currently the Deputy Mayor of London for Police & Crime and former Leader of Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

Syed Kamall: One of the Conservative Members of the European Parliament for London and Chairman of the European Conservative & Reformist Group.
