On Friday the Woolwich based Labour Council opened a consultation on introducing parking charges on Eltham High Street, but Conservatives fear that the result is already a forgone conclusion.

Councillor attends consultation on future for Eltham Baths

On Friday, Eltham North Councillor Spencer Drury attended the consultation displaying the plans for the Eltham Baths site.

The plans include flats and houses mainly intended for shared ownership.  In addition there were plans for flats to be allocated specifically for older people. 

Middle Park & Sutcliffe Conservatives oppose development on Huntsman's Field

With sufficient brown field sites in the borough, the Middle Park and Sutcliffe Conservatives will fight any development on Huntsman's field. Conservative Candidate Dr Arujuna Sivananthan wants to see the site returned to its original use as a playing field for community use.

David Gold and Conservative Council candidate Dr Arujuna Sivananthan conducting the Blackheath Rail Survey to discover the impact of the cut in train services by South Eastern trains on passengers using Blackheath Train Station. Dr Arujuna Sivananthan slammed the reduction in train services as being the result of an "indolent Labour government which pays scant regard to the welfare of the residents in South East London and the self-absorbed Labour run Greenwich Council whose only aspiration is to retain power at the expense of residents".
