Conservatives have branded the Council as incompetent after the refurbishment project of the Greenwich Foot Tunnels is unfinished, over budget and currently at a standstill after two and a half years.

Greenwich Conservatives raise Olympic barrier concerns

Greenwich Conservatives have raised concerns over the placing of barriers on the route to the Olympic Events in Greenwich Park. Traders have complained that the barriers in the town centre and Olympic volunteers have directed spectators away from the market and other shops, leading to a fall in expected trade.

Transition Greenwich and Traffic Meeting about Greenwich Town Centre

On Tuesday 20th July, local Conservative representatives Ryan Acty (Greenwich West) and Malcolm Reid (Peninsula) attended the Transition Greenwich forum to discuss how best to balance the various transport, business, residential and visitor requirements of Greenwich Town Centre in terms of traffic management. The meeting was held in St Alfege’s Church Hall and was well attended by local residen

Transition Westcombe and other Transition Towns in Greenwich are joining together to organize meetings about issues which affect a wide area, and are forming a network called Transition Greenwich.

During the consultation at Davenport house last weekend, a number of Conservatives responded to the Council's preferred option for a one-way gyratory system clockwise on Creek Rd, Greenwich Church St, Greenwich High Rd and Norman Rd.

Public Exhibition for Stockwell St Market redevelopment

The University of Greenwich are showing off their draft proposals for the former Market site at Stockwell Street. Their outline plan shows off their new building for the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, along with a new Learning Resource Centre.
