Last night 22 November 2012 Greenwich Conservatives spokesmen attended a debate at the University of Greenwich with the University Labour Society. The debate was chaired by the BA Politics Course Leader; John McLean.

Protecting our Olympic legacy

It has, by any standards, been a truly memorable year for our Borough. A year that began with The Queen granting us Royal Borough status ahead of Her Jubilee celebrations continued with the arrival of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in the summer. Many local people shared in the excitement of the Games, but it was only natural that such a huge event taking place on our doorstep would cause disruption, and that some residents would be concerned about its effects.

Greenwich Conservative Women groups' first meeting

On September 24th 2012 the "Greenwich Conservative Women" steering committee met for the first time to prepare for the group's official launch before the end of the year. Present at the meeting were Chairman Gemma Robinson, Secretary Laela Tabrizi, Officer Emma Hawsworth, and Deputy Chairman Membership of the Greenwich Conservative Federation, Thomas Turrell.

The Kibrooke development continues

Kidbrooke as an area has been undergoing large-scale change in recent years, and now with the chimney stack from the Ferrier taken down it seemed to be a good opportunity to look at the Kidbrooke developments.

Another successful year at Greenwich University Fresher’s Fair

On September 20th Greenwich University Conservatives held their second Fresher’s Stand at the University of Greenwich Old Naval College Campus in Greenwich West. Myself and the Society Chairman, Oliver Clark set a target to sign up 30 new members.
