Greenwich Conservatives are calling on residents to take part in a new consultation on the future of the Southeastern rail network, and help ‘nip in the bud’ a suggestion that trains on the Bexleyheath line should go to Cannon Street only.

Greenwich Council has agreed to exempt young people leaving care from Council Tax up to the age of 25, following a proposal from Conservative councillors that will see around 450 young people save hundreds of pounds a year.

Memorial service for former councillor Dermot Poston MBE, JP

A memorial service for former councillor Dermot Poston MBE, JP will be held on Saturday, 1st April at 2pm at St Luke's Church Eltham Park, Westmount Road, SE9 1XQ. Fulsome tributes were made to Dermot, who was first elected to the council in 1968 and last year was awarded the Freedom of the Borough for his lifetime of public service, at Wednesday's Full Council meeting by councillors of both parties.
