Conservative councillor gets phone box fixed

Conservative councillor Adam Thomas has lobbied BT to fix the phone box on Footscray Road, opposite Green Lane.  The box had been vandalised and after registering a number complaints, Adam contacted senior figures within BT to raise his concerns about the delay in repairing the box. 

 

Conservative councillors stop mast on Court Road

Conservative councillors Matt Clare and Adam Thomas were pleased to be informed on Friday that the proposed Telephonica O2 UK phone mast for the corner of Court Rd and Middle Park Avenue has been refused permission by Greenwich Council.  Planners also informed the applicants that the council now considers this a site inappropriate for siting phone masts.

Eltham South councillors are urging local residents to get their responses in to the Avery Hill CPZ consultation by 20 August

Phone Mast application in - we want to hear from residents

This week Waldon Telecom, on behalf of Telefonica O2, have submitted their planning application for a 12.5 metre phone mast and cabinet on the corner of Court Road and Middle Park Avenue.  The application is now undergoing a public consultation.

Update on Eltham Community Hospital

Your Eltham South councillors have been in contact with NHS Greenwich and its planners to get the latest update on the progress of the proposals for a new community hospital in Eltham.

Avery Hill Park license approved

Greenwich Council's Licensing Committee last night approved the application by Greenwich Council to have a time limited license for the showing of the film Grease and to allow the playing of music and approximately 100 cars into the park to watch the film on Saturday 17 July.

Conservative councillors support Friends Group and Wildlife Ambulance at ParkFest event

All three Eltham South councillors attended theb recent ParkFest event at Avery Hill Park.  The event included performances by local groups, inlcuding the Bob Hope Theatre and the Meridian Writers.

Your Conservative councillors in Eltham South have recently been made aware by Telephonica O2, of their proposal to install a mobile telecommunications base station (commonly known as a phone mast) on the corner of Middle Park Avenue and Court Road.
