Conservative Councillors do council's job and sort out weed problem on Overmead

After receiving complaints from residents living on Overmead about the problem of overgrowing weeds in the road's pavements, Conservative councillors, Adam Thomas, Matt Clare and Neil Dickinson decided to help residents by removing the weeds.

Cllr Drury visits Eltham Community Hospital exhibition

At the start of July Eltham North Councillor Spencer Drury visited the exhibition at the Eltham Centre to view the revised proposals for the Eltham Community Hospital.  The hospital is being created in Passey Place and will help to address long-term concerns expressed by Eltham's residents and Conservative Councillors over the healthcare available in our community.

Eltham South and Coldharbour and New Eltham councillors attended the recent New Eltham Residents Association AGM meeting.

The meeting covered some important issues, despite the local MP failing to turn up for an expected Q&A with residents.

New application for development at Starbuck Close

A new planning application has been submitted to Greenwich Council to build two flats at the entrance of Starbuck Close.

Councillors call for action from Co-Op on rubbish in New Eltham

Conservative councillors have called for immediate action from the Co-Op regarding the high levels of rubbish in their New Eltham shop car park.

Cllr Mandy Brinkhurst, Conservative councillor for Coldharbour and New Eltham, sits on the Co-Op's representative committee and has requested immediate action from the company to clear the rubbish which is a blight on the New Eltham centre.

Councillors get Stop Notice on Avery Hill Car Wash

Eltham South councillors have successfully obtained a Stop Notice from Greenwich Council, for the hand car wash that appeared at the former petrol station site on the corner of Eastnor Road and Avery Hill.

Resident meeting at Village Shop, Greenwich University, 28 April 6pm

The next quarterly resident meeting at the Greenwich University Student Union Village Shop will be held on Thursday 28 April at 6pm.

The meeting will be attended by your Eltham South Conservative councillors, the Eltham South Safer Neighbourhood Team, and Tina Dagg, the manager of the shop.

Conservatives put young people on the agenda

Greenwich Conservatives have succeeded in getting the Council to investigate important health and education issues affecting children in the Borough.  At a meeting this week, the Children and Young People Scrutiny Committee agreed to two Conservative councillors' proposals for issues to scrutinize in the coming year.

Councillor promotes Avery Hill Park in Cycling Report

Eltham South councillor Adam Thomas has been working on the council committee looking at improvements to cycling provision and facilities in the borough.
