Wine Barrel’s licence to be reviewed

The Council’s Trading Standards Office have asked for a review of the Premises Licence for the Wine Barrel at 30 Eltham High Street.

The phrasing of the application is:

“The application relates to the protection of children from harm licensing objective, and seeks to add conditions to the Premises Licence to prevent the sale of alcohol to children.”

Lorry problems on Castlewood Drive

Residents of Castlewood Drive recently expressed their concerns to Eltham North Councillor Spencer Drury about the number of lorries attempting to negotiate their narrow, steep and winding road. It appears that the lorries travel up Westmount Road to the width restriction by the old Welcome Inn site and then cannot turn round.
