Update on Charlton Road Bridge Railing Repairs

Since a car accident that left serious damage to the Charlton Road railings local Conservative Candidate Thomas Turrell has been working with Conservative London Assembly Member Gareth Bacon to put pressure on TfL to complete the repair work.

'Siege of Westcombe' is Over as Run to the Beat is cancelled

A demand for a five year deal appears to have caused the cancellation of the Run to the Beat Half Marathon event which caused residents in the north of the Borough such inconvenience each year. Blackheath Councillor Geoff Brighty has worked to stop the event causing residents such inconveience and Eltham Councillor and runner Matt Clare is disappointed Greenwich Council have not been able to make a success of the event.

Conservatives Attend Police Meeting

Local Conservatives Cllr Matt Clare, Thomas Turrell, Gemma Robinson, Toni Hale and Della Avery attended the Meet the Met Commissioner Event at Charlton House to discuss policing in Greenwich. This was a chance for residents to raise any concerns they had directly with their borough commander and with the Commissioner himself. It was also a chance for the police to tell local residents about some of the work they’re doing.

Conservatives Attend Air Pollution Public Meeting

Wednesday evening (16th October) Deputy Leader of Greenwich Conservatives Cllr Nigel Fletcher and 2014 Conservative Candidate for Blackheath Westcombe Thomas Turrell attended the ‘No to Silvertown Tunnel’ public meeting to listen to the evidence against the tunnel.
