Recent news reports have highlighted Marks and Spencer recent acquisition of Somerfield's store at Blackheath Standard. M&S have said that their plans are to put a food only store in Blackheath. Also they say that they will retain and retrain the 70+ staff as well as employ a further 30 people. This will be on top of revamping the store.
Greenwich Conservatives are holding a Karaoke Night at the George and Dragon Public House on Blackheath Hill in Greenwich on Thursday 30th November 2006 from 8.30pm.
