Nuala was elected in 2014 and has lived in Eltham South ward for 21 years. She has worked as a senior manager in the charity and training sectors for over 25 years and earlier this year started working as a training consultant working with schools and separately as an independent celebrant offering alternatives to traditional ceremonies such as funerals, weddings, civil partnerships and baby namings. She is a school governor in the borough and supported it through a successful Ofsted inspection in December and been actively involved for the past two years in the Friends of Avery Hill Park group helping to develop and protect the environment for all park users. Nuala also sits on the board of a south London based enterprise agency encouraging new start up businesses and young entrepreneurs. Nuala has two children, her daughter is a teacher in Wyborne Primary School, and she has two dogs that keep her active.
