Adam Thomas has lived in the area for a number of years. As a local school governor he has campaigned to ensure the council properly supports our local schools and allows them to be as successful as possible. He is also working to ensure that our environment, in particular our green spaces, is properly maintained.
Adam says: “I want to see Eltham residents get a fair deal when it comes to council services. Eltham deserves much better and higher quality facilities. We need to see more investment in our community while ensuring that the council always delivers value for money.”

He returned to Colfe’s as a teacher of Economics four years later, shortly after the birth of Kate. His achievements as a teacher include the fact that he taught the first ever students to get A* grades at Mathematics GCSE at Kemnal and in 2003, 3 out of 5 of his Business Studies GCSE students were placed in the top 5 nationally (out of 61,000 students) in 2005 and in 2007 & 2008 students from his Government and Politics class were placed in the top ten nationally.
Spencer was elected as a Councillor on Greenwich Council in 2002 and has been Leader of the Conservative Group since 2006. He is still a member of the Old Colfeians Rugby Club, having played for the 4th XV there for almost a decade. His son Arthur is now playing in the under 9s rugby team and Spencer is finding a new way to enjoy the sport (although he desperately misses the rolling maul!)
