Cllr John Hills - Coldharbour and New Eltham

John was first elected to Greenwich council in 2000.  John’s background is in the building industry as project manager and he is able to utilize his wealth of knowledge and experience within his role on the two planning committees he sits on as well as the building and Engineering Joint Works Committee.

Since his retirement John spends his days in Coldharbour and New Eltham Ward, dealing with day to day issues for residents and supporting a number of local community groups.  John is currently Chair of Community Association of New Eltham and school governor at Greenacres, Cherry Orchard and Alderwood Primary schools.

John is also a full member of the Reserve forces and Cadets Association for Greater London.

John has focused much of his time since retirement working hard to achieve positive outcomes for the older people within the ward.  His involvement with the Healthier Communities and Older Peoples Scrutiny Panel enables him to ensure the opinions of older residents are feed into the panel and hopefully influence decision making.
